Mr. Hageney is a co-founder and managing partner of The Centurion Group. Having worked in the defined contribution retirement plan business since 1993, Jim has developed lasting relationships with corporate clientele, actuaries, and attorneys. In addition to his work with 401(k), 403(b) and non-qualified deferred compensation plans, Jim is respected among his colleagues for his expertise in cutting edge plan design and investment analytics.

Prior to The Centurion Group, Jim was a founding partner of Sterling Investment Advisors, an investment advisory firm located in suburban Philadelphia, PA which specializes in the qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and wealth management. Jim ran the retirement plan division and was responsible for client acquisition, client retention as well as participant education and advice services.

In 1993, Jim started his career the retirement plan business with the American Financial Group, a regional diversified financial services company offering investment, insurance and retirement plan services to corporations and individuals. Prior to leaving American Financial Group, Jim had been AFG’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in 1985, is a Registered Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is life/health licensed.
