Recent Engagements
Below is a summary of some of our recent engagements:
- Assisted a 600-employee non-profit client through the creation of their retirement plan committee with all necessary documentation provided by The Centurion Group. We led this client through the conversion of their 403(b) from an annuity-based insurance product to a new vendor with best-in-class institutional mutual fund investments and a much more modern scope of services. The Centurion Group provides on-going fiduciary services and training to this retirement advisory committee.
- Prepared a 401(k) plan review for an 800-employee publicly traded corporation which identified several plan administrative deficiencies and fiduciary concerns. This review analyzed the current investments, expenses, plan features, participation rate, education and communication efforts, plan design, stable value fund characteristics and employee appreciation of the retirement program. Our review culminated in an RFP process that led to the selection of a new vendor at a significant cost savings that was passed along to plan participants.
- Reinvigorated a deferred compensation plan of a publicly traded company by improving plan features, plan communication, and plan financing. The plan was informally funded in a non-efficient manner; we delivered substantial cost savings to the corporation.
- Led a 1,100-employee non-profit organization through a Plan Review of their non-ERISA 403(b), ERISA 403(b), 457(f) and defined benefit plans. Analyzed the expected income replacement ratios that the current retirement program would provide to employees and contrasted that to the income replacement ratios of several different plan design options, resulting in several major changes to the retirement program.
